Island in the sun

We have been working on a big geography project over a number of weeks to create an island. The children decided where it would be in the world, therefore deciding its climate, what produce it could grow and what animals would be native there. They decided a name for the island, the name and the location of its capital city and re-created its topography in 3D. A lot of inginuity and research went into this work and the children are very proud of their finished result.
